Birembo is a coffee washing station in Macuba Sector, Nyamasheke District, Western Province, Rwanda. Established in 2013 and owned by C. Dorman Rwanda, the site sits at approximately 1,503 meters and is managed by Habinshuti Oreste. The station serves about 503 registered smallholders growing Bourbon Arabica, with an average annual cherry intake of roughly 600 metric tons. Processing is fully washed with 12–15 hours of fermentation, using six fermentation tanks and 132 raised drying tables; peak seasonal staffing is around 70. Listed certifications include UTZ, Rainforest Alliance, and C.A.F.E. Practices. Typical export volume is indicated at about 1,600 bags per season. Harvest in Rwanda’s Western Province generally begins in late February following the main dry season.
